Yolanda Gonzalez, M.Ed

Hello!  I am the Literacy Interventionist at Escobar Rios Elementary.  I was born and raised in Rio Grande City.  Graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing.  After being in the medical field as a Marketing/Sales rep, I decided to venture into the education field.  I have been a teacher for over 15 years.  I now have a Master's in Literacy and Reading and love helping students with reading.  One of my favorite things to teach is novels and my students really enjoy it as well. 

 

I am happily married and have 3 wonderful daughters.  All three are grown up and have their own careers away from home.  I love my 2 dogs and my cat.  I am an avid sports fanatic and love to dance.  On my free time, I enjoy just being home and doing work around my yard tending to my roses.
